Legislative Update:

The California state legislature is considering Bill AB1955 which will make it illegal for schools to notify parents about the social transitioning of their children. Courts have already ruled against the state’s efforts to block this common sense parental notification policy.

A federal judge ruled that parents have a constitutional right to be informed, and teachers have a constitutional right to not keep secrets from parents.

All members on committees, regardless of district, represent the entire population of the state when they vote on policies.
